Academic Requirements
We enrol students from many backgrounds who can combine academic ability with an enthusiasm for new challenges. We invite applications from students who can demonstrate that they have the following qualifications for entry to our programmes:
Five GCSE/IGCSE subjects or equivalent including Maths and English, and two A levels.
Alternatively we can accept an A-Level equivalent or one of the following qualifications;
- High School/Secondary School (School Leaving Certificate and +2) Certificate/ diploma or equivalent with a minimum of grade point average of C.
- Overseas Bachelor Degree in relevant subjects
Other international qualifications accepted as fulfilling British University requirements as recommended by National Academic Recognition Information Centre (UK)
English Language Requirements
Applicants who do not have English as their mother tongue must possess one of the following certificates or demonstrate a level of English at least equal to one of the following minimum standards:
For HND courses
- GCSE/IGSE English Grade C or above
- IELTS (International English Language Testing System) 6.0
- Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (Grades A-C)
- EIKEN - Test in Practical English Proficiency (Grade 1)
- Paper based TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) Score of at least 550
- New Internet Based TOEFL score of at least 80
- Computer based TOEFL score of at least 213
- Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) above 75%
For Diploma courses
- GCSE/IGCSE English Grade C or above
- IELTS (International English Language Testing System) 5.5
- Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (Grades A-C)
- EIKEN - Test in Practical English Proficiency (Grade Pre 1)
- Paper based TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) score of at least 537
- New Internet Based TOEFL score of at least 74
- Computer based TOEFL score of at least 203
You may be exempt from the above requirements if you have attended, for at least two years, an institution where English is the language of instruction.
If your English Language ability does not meet the required standard outlined above, you may be offered a place on a 6 month to 1 year Intensive English Language programme at our on-campus English centre. This programme will allow you to spend time taking intensive English Language classes in preparation for your programme.
- Student does not have their passport at the point of application, copies of the passport pages can be provided later. Without this, the College will be unable to issue the CAS.

http://www.bia.homeoffice.gov.uk/. Currently students must possess a minimum of £5400 (or equivalent using prevailing exchange rates) for a minimum duration. The account must be in the student’s name or be an account where the student is a named joint holder.
3b) If sponsored by a Government, an organisation or the British Council
- The sponsor’s bank account statements, as per the UKBA requirements
- Affidavit of sponsorship
- Clear explanation of applicant’s relation to sponsor
