Admission Procedure
Applying to any of the SGCL courses is simple

Step 1 - Apply
You must complete an application form as the first step of the application process. You can either:



Once you have completed the application form, you should send us your documents. Please refer to the Entry Requirements section and Tier 4 Application Check List if you are an overseas applicant to find out which accompanying documents are required with your application form.

Step 2 - Making an Offer
Once we have received your application form and supporting documents, the Admissions Officer will assess whether you meet our minimum entry requirements and will either make you an offer by email and letter, or notify you that you have been unsuccessful.

If you have completed your education and have met all the entry requirements, you will be sent an unconditional offer. If you still have to finish your exams, or have yet to submit documentation, you will be issued a conditional offer.

Step 3 - Accepting the Offer
If you wish to accept the offer you need to reserve your place by sending the non refundable registration fee and first academic year deposit of tuition fee. This will be explained to you on the offer letter.

Step 4 - Full Acceptance and Visa
On receipt of your acceptance and Payments of your tuition feeSGCL will issue the final set of documentation, and where needed the relevant CAS.
In the unlikely event you are refused a visa all deposited tuition fee (Less Registration fee) paid to SGCL will be returned in full, however you must provide a copy of your visa refusal letter.

Step 5 - Accommodation
The next important stage to consider is where you are going to stay whilst studying at SGCL. Our Admissions Officer is at hand to talk you through the options available - including house share, private flats, home stay and much more.

Tier 4 Application Check List
Applicants must provide the following documentation and information. For overseas students, ALL this information is mandatory, in line with the UK Border Agency’s rules for student visa applications. Documents provided must be originals. Where the original documents cannot be sent, notarised copies or copies attested by the issuing authority are acceptable. The documentation required must be clear, legible and where necessary translated into English language by an approved translator.

For conditional offers, information in sections 1 & 2 below are required:

1) Personal & Identification

  • Fully completed Application Form (signed & dated)
  • Copies of current valid passport id pages (clearly showing photo and signature). Where a student does not have their passport at the point of application, copies of the passport pages can be provided later. Without this, the College will be unable to issue the CAS.
  • Copy of national ID card (where available)



2) Academic & Professional

  • Comprehensive CV/resume
  • High School education and transcripts
  • Statement of Purpose (SOP) – explaining reasons for choosing Queensland College London and how the course will be of benefit to you
  • IELTS or TOEFL test result sheets



For unconditional letters (CAS), the information above and below is required:

3) Financial & Sponsorship

3a)Bank statement in your own name or your parents, guardian or relatives Bank Statement if they are supporting you financially

Bank account statements as per the UKBA requirements, which are published on
http://www.bia.homeoffice.gov.uk/. Currently students must possess a minimum of £5400 (or equivalent using prevailing exchange rates) for a minimum duration. The account must be in the student’s name or be an account where the student is a named joint holder.

3b) If sponsored by a Government, an organisation or the British Council

  • The sponsor’s bank account statements, as per the UKBA requirements
  • Affidavit of sponsorship
  • Clear explanation of applicant’s relation to sponsor
