Disability Policy

Introduction and Aims of the Policy
St. George’s College London is committed to develop a quality framework which is supportive of all disability groups. The College ensures finance is available to meet the continual development and up skilling of all staff with regard to disability awareness and continuous developments in quality curriculum delivery. We are proud to be a college which addresses all needs relating to disability. We are opposed to any form of discrimination, violent, abusive or witting and unwitting discriminatory behaviour or practice.

The College will ensure that the disabled people have the same opportunities as non-disabled people to benefit wherever possible from education and other related provision.

The College aims to create a positive, inclusive of ethos where issues of disability can be discussed openly, with a shared commitment to respect difference and encourage good relations.

Any complaints of discrimination or harassment will be treated seriously, be fully investigated and may result in disciplinary action by College management.

The College will develop, implement and publicise policies which promote disability rights and awareness for all members of the College and its local communities.
